Soccer or Volleyball B
INCLUDES:
5 scheduled soccer (or volleyball) games, post-game receptions, breakfast and dinner daily, San Jose city tour, Tabacon admission fees, Corobici River rafting, Los Gatos Zoo visit, folkloric dinner and dances, mining museum tour, land transportation, guide services, accomodations in three and four-star hotels, 24-hour emergency backup in the US and in Costa Rica. The soccer games are sanctioned by the Fedefut (Costa Rica’s governing body of soccer). Post-game reception includes sodas, water, fruit juice in some cases, snacks and sandwiches.
OVERNIGHTS
DAY 1:
San Jose – Upon arrival your team is transferred to a quality hotel in San Jose for a welcoming dinner and itinerary overview.
DAY 2:
San Carlos / Tilajari – Explore the vibrant Poas Volcano with its unique active crater and pristine lagoons and trails. We descend the Northerly slopes of the volcano to play the first game at the Tilajari resort. Dinner and overnight at this tropical resort.
DAY 3:
Arenal / Tabacon – After breakfast and local sightseeing we continue to the picturesque town of Fortuna. The second game is played here and we later relax at the natural hot springs at Tabacon Resort.
DAY 4:
La Pacifica – Today we drive around the majestic Arenal Volcano and Lake to La Pacifica hotel, but before getting there we explore the tranquil Corobici River by raft; this river is like an oasis teeming with wildlife. We will also explore a local zoo with a variety of tropical cats, including jaguars and ocelots.
DAY 5:
Las Juntas – This morning we play game three in the historic mining town of Las Juntas. Join the opposing team after the game for a reception with sodas and sandwiches. We’ll also visit the Mining Museum with its impressive rock foundations which resemble a Pre-Columbian pyramid amidst the lush forest. We return to La Pacifica for dinner and overnight.
DAY 6:
Nosara – We cross the Tempisque River to the Nicoya Peninsula and arrive at Playa Nosara, one of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica.
DAY 7:
Nosara – Nosara Beach will host our fourth game. A small party with the opposing team follows the game. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure at this wonderful location in the colorful Guanacaste province.
DAY 8:
San Jose – We cross the Peninsula and the Gulf of Nicoya by way of a scenic Ferry boat and head back towards San Jose for overnight and dinner.
DAY 9:
San Jose – In the morning we will play our last game against a San Jose team. In the afternoon we’ll go on a sightseeing tour of the capital city and visit several attractions including the National Museum. A special folkloric dinner experience caps the day.
DAY 10:
Today we depart early to the airport for our flight back home.
