INCLUDES:

3 scheduled baseball (or softball) games, post-game receptions, breakfast and dinner daily, San Jose City Tour, Carara National Park Tour, Manuel Antonio National Park Tour, Our Heritage Tour*, land transportation, guide services, accomodations in three and four-star hotels, 24-hour emergency service in the US and in Costa Rica. Post-game reception includes sodas, water, fruit juice in some cases, snacks and sandwiches.

*Our Heritage Tour is a one-day tour which visits several attractions in one day: Poas Volcano, La Paz waterfall visit, Hummingbird Gallery visit, Archeological Park tour, Butterfly Garden Tour, Sarapiqui River cruise, drive through Braulio Carrillo National Park. Lunch not included.

DAY 1:

San Jose – Arrive in San Jose where your guide will be waiting for you at the airport to take you to your hotel for check-in and to brief you on the tours’ activities.

DAY 2:

San Jose – Today we’ll take a half-day tour of the city and visit several attractions like the National Theater and the National Museum. In the afternoon we’ll play our first game in the Escarre Baseball Stadium, followed by a post-game reception with the opposing team players and their parents.

DAY 3:

Jaco Beach – We’ll travel to Jaco Beach, stopping en route at the Tarcoles River to see some very large crocodiles in their natural habitat and then we’ll take a hike along the trails of the Carara National Park. This park is unique since it presents a transitional type ecosystem where the dry forests meet the rainforests on the Pacific coast of the country. Here we might see some beautiful scarlet macaws. We continue along with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean towards our beach-front hotel.

DAY 4:

Jaco Beach – From here we travel further South towards one of the most beautiful national parks in the country: Manuel Antonio. This is one of the smallest parks, but yet it has abundant animal life, exuberant vegetation and some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. We return to our hotel in Jaco for dinner and overnight.

DAY 5:

San Jose – We return to San Jose to play our second game of the tour, followed by a post-game reception with the opposing team.

DAY 6:

San Jose – Today we’ll visit a variety of wonderful sites. We’ll start by going to the Poas Volcano and learn about the importance of the cloudforests. Then, as we descend towards the Caribbean lowlands, we’ll stop at the most photographed waterfall in the country. We’ll visit an archeological park which hosts some recently discovered indian burials and we’ll learn about the interesting indian heritage of Costa Rica. We’ll also visit a butterfly garden and board a boat on a rainforest river. We’ll be on the lookout for the amazing wildlife in the area: Sloths, monkeys, iguanas, caymans and many wetland birds are among the creatures we might find. We arrive back in San Jose in the late afternoon after crossing the cloudforest of the Braulio Carrillo National Park

DAY 7:

San Jose – We’ll enjoy a free morning in San Jose to do some last-minute shopping and sightseeing. Later this afternoon we’ll play our final game against a competitive local team, followed by a post-game reception.

DAY 8:

Departure – After a hearty breakfast we’ll leave for the airport for our return flight.
