The aerial tram is a cable-car that carries up to five people and a guide along a 1.7 km. (1.1 mi.) path high in the tree tops. The car passes slowly and silently through the forest canopy, giving visitors a once-in-a-lifetime look at the plants and animals found high in the trees.

The knowledgeable guide will explain the many wonders encountered while you are introduced to the marvelous and unique world of the rain forest canopies.

Each layer in the forest presents its own characteristics, as far as types and conditions of animals and plants. You’ll start out at the Shrub Level; you climb 10 to 20 meters (30-60 feet) to the Understory Trees; ascend to the Sub-Canopy, the level just below the emergent trees; and peak out, finally, at the Canopy Level where travelers look out over the sea of brilliant green formed by the flat tops of the “emergent” trees (trees with their faces in the sun) 40 to 70 meters (130 to 230 feet) above the ground.
