Day 1 San Jose Meeting and assistance upon arrival in San Jose and transfer to your hotel.

Day 2 Tortuguero After breakfast, you will be transferred to Tortuguero and your lodge, Balance of day at leisure in this “small Amazon World”.

Day 3 Tortuguero Today you will explore the smaller canals of Tortuguero to experience firsthand the rainforest surrounding you. A hike to the only hill of this area will present you with a spectacular view of The National Park and its water canals. Explore the little village of Tortuguero or enjoy a walk on the beach. During the months of May through September you can take the optional turtle watching tour during the evening to admire one of the most impressive miracles of life. Overnight.

Day 4 Gandoca Manzanillo After breakfast, you will be transferred to Almonds Coral. Balance of day at leisure and overnight at your lodge.

Day 5 Manzanillo Today’s excursion leads into the refuge bearing the same name. The Gandoca Manzanillo Refuge is important because if protects the wildlife of the region, especially those species in danger of extinction or with reduced populations. It also safeguards the only naturally occurring mangrove oyster beds which inhabit the reefs along Costa Rica’s coastline. Afternoon return to your lodge and overnight.

Day 6 Arenal Following breakfast, you will depart for Arenal with lunch en route. Remainder of the day at leisure to explore the area on your own, Hotel in the area. Overnight.

Day 7 Arenal Today you will have a free day in Arenal to enjoy the beauties of this area. In the late afternoon, enjoy a tour to the Arenal Volcano with dinner at the Tabacon Resort & Hot Springs. This active volcano well deserves a visit, not only for its constant activity, but also for its perfect cone and the exuberant vegetation in the surrounding areas, adorned by the majestic engineering masterpiece of the Arenal Lake. Enjoy the relaxing scenery and the refreshingly cool alpine region. While there, you may even witness an explosion of smoke and lava from the mighty Arenal. Return to your hotel for overnight.

Day 8 San Jose After breakfast, you will return to San Jose. This afternoon you will have the opportunity for some last minute sightseeing or shopping. Overnight.

Day 9 San Jose Following hotel check-out, you will be transferred to the International airport for your flight to the USA.
