Birding
There is simply no better introduction to tropical birding than Costa Rica. Literally dozens of excellent birding areas all within easy reach and cover 12 major life zones that shelter 800-plus species. On-the-spot lodges let you wake up to the dawn chorus every day. Don’t forget your binoculars! To optimize your experience, we highly recommend a guided group or a private guide. Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, our birding guides are the best in the country.
Also we recommend The field guide THE BIRDS OF COSTA RICA by Richard Garrigues and Robert Dean from Comstock Publishing Associates a division of Cornell University press, Ithaca New York, 2007.

To request any of these books you can email Mr. Robin Coleman at rwc76@cornell.edu or costaricatour@earthlink.net
